
Memorandum
of Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of
Georgia and the Civil Registry Agency of the Ministry of Justice. Memorandum
envisages automatic exchange of data between two structures. First Deputy
Minister of Education and Science, Koka Seperteladze and Deputy Minister of
Justice, Chairman of the Civil Registry Agency, Giorgi Vashadze signed the
Memorandum.
According
to the Memorandum, Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia will receive
the information online from the Civil Registry Agency of the Ministry of
Justice.
After
introduction of electronic ID cards, electronic Diplomas will be included in
these electronic ID cards as well.
Free
registration of the schoolchildren was held in 2009 at the territorial offices
of Civil Registry Agency. As the result, data base of school age children was
created. It supports different interested agencies to implement social programs
effectively.
After
signing the Memorandum, responsible employees of MES will check the schoolchildren’s
data through the base of the Civil Registry Agency online.
Exchanging
of information online between these two agencies reduce such administration
costs as copying the documents and sending the letters.
