
On
August 14, second group of foreign teachers arrived in Georgia in the framework
of the project Teach and Learn With Georgia. 57 teachers arrived from the USA,
Canada and European countries. The teachers will be distributed in the public
schools of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti after passing the training. They will teach
the schoolchildren English language together with the local teachers from the
new academic year.
Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Nodar Surguladze met the
teachers in the Tbilisi International Airport. By the announcement of Nodar Surguladze, Teach And Learn With Georgia is one of the most important
projects that are being implemented in the Georgian education system. Similar
projects successfully operate in different countries of the world. Japan is
among these countries. Most important is that the schoolchildren will improve
their English by people-to-people communication”.
The
first delegation of foreign teachers arrived in Georgia on July 30. They will
teach the English language in the public schools of Adjara.
Totally,
1,000 native English speaker teachers will arrive in Georgia.
