On September 15^th the seventh Regional Academic Summit on “Professional Education and Employability” was hold at the Akhaltsikhe State Teaching University. The summit was opened by the Rector of the Akhaltsikhe State Teaching University Professor Tinatin Gelashvili and Resident Twinning Advisor (RTA) Mr Cay Etzold. The opening speeches were followed by presentations of Mr. Gerard Gasquet, General Secretary at the University of Evry-Val d’Essonne, Mr Peter Wunsch, Senior Advisor VET at the GTZ , Ms Khatuna Khitarishvili, IOM Job Center Coordinator in Akhaltsikhe.

The summit was followed by the seminars on the same topic, which were delivered by Mr Gerard Gasquet, Secretary General at the University of Evry-Val d’Essonne.  The expert from France shared his French experience on the topic. More than 16 participants from different HEIs participated in the seminars on September 15-17, 2010.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is the first public body in Georgia where the Twinning project is implemented. This Twinning project is implemented in the framework of ENPI and aims to introduce European Standards in the Higher Education System of Georgia. The project is implemented together with Germany and France.
