The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli got acquainted with the sanitary norms developed by the schools for the prevention of the virus at public schools N118 and N208. The minister held a meeting with the school principals and discussed the measures taken by schools to ensure the safety of each student and teacher during the educational process.

To prevent the spread of Covid-19, owing to the decision of the Coordinating Council, from the beginning of February, mandatory testing of teachers and school administration representatives in public and private schools throughout Georgia is underway. After 2 weeks of intensive testing, 0.5% of Covid-19 teachers and school staff across the country were confirmed.
