Teacher’s House hosted the conference - “From Shakespeare to Dickens”, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens. The conference was led by British linguists and experts of McMillan Publishing, Luke Prodromo and David Gibson.
Voucher based financing started beginning on March 19. Volunteers willing to acquire vocational education will be granted with 1000GEL vouchers and the opportunity to study at their preferred educational institutions. Students from socially vulnerable families have already started to register.
The number of Armenian and Azeri entrants registered for the National Unified Exams has increased since last year. Most of the Azeri and Armenian entrants decided to continue their study in the new program.
Georgia hosted its first international
conference on inclusive education; the aim of the conference was to discuss inclusive education issues and to provide a forum for sharing international practices.

met with the Deputy Minister of Education and Research of Norway, Elisabet Dahle, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to
Georgia and Turkey, Mr. Erling Skønsberg. The Norwegian guests visited
Georgia to attend an international conference on inclusive education.
The Minister met with the students who have been registered for the
students’ summer employment program “Summer Jobs”. The Minister discussed
with them the goals of the program, which was initiated by the President
of Georgia.
For the Unified National Exams this year, 73% of entrants registered to take a foreign language exam in the English language, 17% in Russian,
7% German, and 3% in French.

at anti crisis council’s session. “The reforms are
being implemented successfully, increasing an access to education, enhancement
of the quality of education, development
of the demanding professions and modern learning facilities are our main
priorities”, - highlighted the Minister.
Online registration
for teacher certification, unified national, high school, and master’s (GRE)
exams are over. 41,000 persons registered for the teacher certification exams; this is twice as much as the previous year.

Caucasus Youth Parliament. Students from Armenia and Georgia voted on a joint declaration that they will present to the European Parliament in Brussels.
Brazilian Senator Cristovam Buarque is paying a visit to Georgia. In the scope of the visit, the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia hosted the Brazilian Senator and introduced him to Georgia’s current education reforms.

of the educational institutions ( public schools) was developed by the Ministry.
The catalog collects information about the public schools throughout Georgia.
