Excellent pupils of Tbilisi schools awarded
Rewarding of the excellent pupils continues. Today, the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Tamar Sanikidze, Tbilisi Mayor Davit Narmania and the Chairman of Tbilisi City Council Giorgi Alibegashvili presented the personal computers to 356 tenth grade pupils of Tbilisi public schools.

Final of intellect championship "Etaloni-Tbilisi” was held
In October 2015, national intellect championship "Etaloni-Tbilisi” started. At the current stage, schools from 4 Tbilisi district got involved: Gldani, Chugureti, Mtatsminda and Didube. Schools from the rest 6 districts will participate in the intellect championship in 2016.

Rehabilitation of the schools carries on
In the current year, different rehabilitation works have been done in 115 Tbilisi public schools, 50 schools have been equipped with doctor’s office, construction of two new schools will begin before the end of year, and next year will also mark laying foundations to construction of two more.

The Minister visited the rehabilitated school in the village Lesichine
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Tamar visited fully rehabilitated Lesichine Public School of Chkhorotsku District and met with teachers and pupils. School building, which was in highly poor condition for year, has been completely renovated and equipped according to modern standards. School has been adapted for children with special educational needs.

Pupils revived Vazha Pshavela’s works
The events in honor of the creative work of Vazha Pshavela continue. Today, pupils participating in the School Theatre Festival arrived in the native village Chargali of classic of Georgian literature, poet and writer. At Vazha-Pshavela House Museum, pupils presented performances staged based on Vazha’s works and also read their poetries.

Preparation for testing in vocational programs
Applicants registered for the examinations will be tested on 11th October from 9:00am. In the Library exhibition hall of the national library of the parliament of Georgia, the presentation of a new English translated version of the poem ‘The Knight In The Panther Skin’ was held. In last 40 years, new translation of ‘The Knight In The Panther skin’ has come out, which is the first poetic translation of 16 syllable poem.

Another group of successful pupils arrived from The United Kingdom
12 successful students, winners of school Olympiads and many other competitions, arrived from the Great Britain. They did two weeks long English language intensive course at Heisting (England) English Language Summer School.

Renewed educational building will start functioning in Akhmeta Municipality
Kachreti Vocational College "Aisi" branch located in Akhmeta Municipality village Kvemo Alvani, complete rehabilitation is being carried out.  Very soon, another modern standards vocational institution with renewed infrastructure will continue functioning.

On 20-27 August NGO “Mariani” with the German partners conduct the training course in the office of the organization “The first step to Georgia” for the early intervention specialists of the blind and partially sighted with multiple disorder children.

Telavi municipal schools are preparing for the new school year
Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science are getting acquainted with preparation process for the new academic year in the region. This time, several schools of Telavi were visited by the first deputy minister-Qetevan Natriashvili and the deputy minister-Lia Gigauri in order to get introduced the textbooks for the pupils to be transferred.

Tbilisi #151 public school is preparing for the new academic year
By the new academic year, almost 1200 students of Tbilisi #151 public school will have renovated gym with the modern facilities. Renovation has been done with the school halls, conference room, and the library. For the students with the special needs has been built the universally designed pavements, and the adapted gym.

Business meeting in Kakheti region
The first deputy minister and the deputy minister of the ministry of education and science of Georgia- Qetevan Natriashvili and Lia Gigauri held a meeting with the school principals and Resource managers of the public schools of Kakheti region.

In Tbilisi public school # 18 a modern gym will be arranged
The students of the # 18 public school will have a gym with modern facilities. At this stage the rehabilitating works are being done. The gym will satisfy the students for the special needs with adapted bathrooms and dressing rooms.

Industrial innovation laboratories will be arranged in community colleges (FABLAB)
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia within the cooperation with Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia is planning to establish Industrial Innovation laboratories (FABLAB) throughout the community colleges. Another workshop was held on this topic.

Preparation for the new academic year
The preparation for the new academic year is in its active phase. In most of the public schools infrastructural projects are underway. Basically, current guidance books sorting is completed and along with the new academic year all pupils here as well as in other public schools will receive a full package of textbooks.

First-graders registration s additional deadlines announced
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia determined deadlines for First-graders registration from April 23, 2015 to July 11, 2015 for 2015-2016 academic years. The registration was divided in 3 stages and nowadays 46600 first-graders are registered in public and private schools of Tbilisi.
