Document on defining a policy of social partnership in the field of professional education has been developed. Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini, Chairman of the Trade Unions of Georgia Irakli Petriashvili and President of Georgian Employer’s Association Elguja Meladze signed the document.

By the initiative of the Government of Georgia National Professional Council has been created. The Council supports the development of professional education and close collaboration of professional associations and unions, employers, private and government providers in the field of professional education.

The cooperation between the parties envisages the development of such professions that meet the requirements of labor market, development of new programs, and improvement of material-technical base.

The document defines the responsibilities of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Professional Unions and Employers.
