The Minister of Education and
Science of Georgia, Mr. Dimitri Shashkin, attended a biology interactive
lesson at the 1st Experimental School. The lesson was
held at the “Geocell” classroom, which is equipped with modern technologies.
With the help of new
technologies, the biology teacher spent only several minutes assessing students on
previous material. The task displayed on the interactive board was reflected on
every student’s monitor in a "parallel" mode. The teacher was able to observe the testing
process with the help of her monitor. When needed, she could make comments and
direct students individually. All completed tasks are able to be saved electronically, to be checked in the
future.
The classroom-cabinet, which
was established upon the president’s initiative, possesses unique capabilities. The
new technologies that the classroom is equipped with promote effective learning. Both teachers and students feel comfortable in the classroom.
Almost all subjects are taught in the multifunctional classroom. Teachers of
various subjects actively use these virtual labs. A high quality visualization and
audio system provides the opportunity for interactive presentations.
The 1st Experimental
School regularly hosts students and teachers of other schools and presents
demonstration lessons in its multifunctional classroom.
With the assistance of MES, a new,
modern classroom will be opened in Kvareli. The process will continue and
modern multifunctional classrooms will be opened in all schools of Georgia's larger
cities.
