
On
June 1-6, students’ self-governance of Tbilisi State University organizes the
International Students’ Forum for students and organizations from more than 35
countries including Germany, France, Hungary, USA, Turkey, and Japan. Today,
Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Nodar Surguladze and
Press-Speaker of the Program “Summer Jobs” Mariam Sajaia met participants of
the Forum and held the presentation on the students’ employment program –
Summer Jobs, which was initiated by the President of Georgia.
The
program “Summer Jobs” is being implemented in Georgia for the first time. In
the scope of this program 25 000 students of the authorized higher education institutions
of Georgia will get employed during their summer holidays. The employment
program will start on July 20 and last till August 20. The participants of the
Forum talked about the analogues of such employment programs in their countries
and wished the great success to Georgian program.
During
the International Forum, the participants will discuss different questions of
yout. They will have a chance to meet the representatives of different
governmental bodies and get familiar with the youth programs and projects that
are currently being implemented in Georgia. At the end of the Forum those
organizations that have just joined the Forum will sign the memorandum of
cooperation.
By
the decision of self-governance of Tbilisi State University, Students’ International
Forum will be held every year and become one of the most important youth events
in the world.
