Minister Shashkini and other representatives of the ministry met with the president of Professional Syndicate, Mr. Tato Shavshishvili as well as the members of the union.

Teachers’ certification, the ongoing education reforms, the Minister’s new initiatives and the ways of  implementation were discussed at the meeting. Participants of the meeting also talked about the Public Board, which was established by Minister’s initiative after consultations with the representatives of parliamentary and non-parliamentary opposition, Free Professional Union of Teachers and Scientists, the Union of Professional Education and Training Qualified Workforce, Independent Professional Union of Students, Education Employers Union, Education Professional Syndicate and the League of Education Leaders.

The Board members will hold meetings on a monthly basis. Any organization or union interested in the ongoing education reforms will have an opportunity to participate in this meeting. The Ministry is ready to listen and consider the opinions of every interested party.
