The active phase of reforms in the
education system begins. Therefore, it is important to receive point of views
from the representatives of a varierty of system-levels regarding the goal sets
and ways for the future cooperation. In this regard, the Ministry of Education
and Science of Georgia, met a group of directors from the public and private
schools.
Moreover, the meeting discussed the issue of
forming a board of directors. Minister Jejelava, presented his vision of
educational reform and its development to the directors and listen to their
opinions. It needs to be mentioned, that directors mentioned some problems
which needs to be paid attention to, and the Ministry will do everything
necessary to address the issue.
The meeting agreed to set up a group, which will
work on the board of directors format, and will prepare an alternative version.
The project will be examined by every school director in Georgia, and
afterwards jointly decide how will the board of directors function, which will
most likely have the rotational manner. This will aid to have a free
flow/exchange of information between the schools and the Ministry itself as
well.
