With the agenda of having a further cooperation and
sharing the experience, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and
its department of internal audit, have invited their Estonian colleagues on a
working visit to Georgia.
Within the scope of the visit, a variety of events were
held. In particular, a presentation was held regarding the specifications,
organizational structure and institutional improvements and recommendations
regarding the work of the internal audit department.
Additionally, the Estonian colleagues visited the public
college “Aisi”, and Niko Bagrationi public school N1 in Mukhrani, in order to
share their experience and get acquainted with the existing educational system
in Georgia.
Internal audit activity in the public sector was
established in 2010, based on the model developed by the European Union.
