MES is announced as the reformer Ministry of the year. Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Irine Kurdadze was awarded with the above prize at the award ceremony Builder of 2010.

MES will purchase portable computers for all first graders of the Public Schools in 2011. They will be provided with these computers free of charge. Educational programs in Georgian, foreign language, mathematics and logics as well as textbooks, literature and educational-cognitive games will be uploaded in the computers.

The document was developed by the experts of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development. Director of the Center, Gia Mamulashvili explained the meaning of the newly developed document to 300 teachers.
