As part of the ongoing World Education Forum in London, the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Aleksandre Tsuladze, took part in a thematic session titled “Innovative Approaches that Improve Learning Outcomes.”
In his address, the Minister shared insights into the initiatives Georgia has undertaken to integrate innovation and technology into its education system.
Aleksandre Tsuladze: “In today’s technological age, it is of paramount importance to equip students with skills that will serve them well throughout their lives.
At the Ministry, we are working across multiple domains, from enhancing school curricula to upgrading the existing infrastructure, to ensure every student has the opportunity to realize their full potential within a supportive and healthy learning environment.
We firmly believe that Georgia’s greatest asset is its people. That is why education remains a top national priority, and we are committed to empowering young people to expand their knowledge and grow into their best selves.”
During his remarks at the World Education Forum in London, Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Aleksandre Tsuladze, placed special emphasis on the advancement of STEM education in Georgia.
He highlighted the nationwide implementation of an extracurricular STEM program in general education institutions. This program adopts an interdisciplinary approach, integrating the teaching of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. As the Minister explained, the initiative enables students to engage with diverse educational resources to develop their own projects within the STEM domain, presenting innovative solutions to real-world problems challenges.
This approach, he noted, not only strengthens academic knowledge but also fosters essential skills such as problem-solving, leadership, teamwork, and communication.
In addition to STEM education, Minister Tsuladze addressed several other key topics, including: the creation of modern digital educational resources, integration of technology across all levels of education, development of the examination system and ongoing teacher training and retraining initiatives.
