The development of the International Tourism College will start in Dusheti from the beginning of next year. Tamar Kitiashvili, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia visited the site where the college will be built together with the representatives of the local self-government and adventure tourism school.
The Ministry of Education has been working on the concept of the Vocational College of Tourism together with the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Regional Administration and the School of Adventure Tourism since the beginning of this year. Negotiations are also underway for a partnership with the German side, with the design work of the college being carried out by the Ministry's Scientific and Educational Infrastructure Development Agency.
According to Tamar Kitiashvili, the launch of a modern tourism education institution in Georgia, which will introduce joint programs with the best European schools, is a great effort for both the region and the country, as a vocational college of such magnitude is a promiment advantage not only in the region but also in Eastern Europe.
