The National Award for Vocational Education, initiated by the Millennium Foundation and supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, is being held for the fourth time this year and is traditionally supported by the Gudavadze-Patarkatsishvili Foundation.
The aim of the competition is to popularize vocational education and to present successful people and organizations working in the field, as well as to inform the public about the important innovations in vocational education and spark their interest. The competition is open to all private and public vocational schools, as well as their students and teachers.
An online informative meeting on competition issues was held with representatives of public and private colleges. Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Magda Maghradze, Executive Director of the Millennium Foundation and Zurab Kervalishvili, Executive Director of the Gudavadze-Patarkatsishvili Foundation addressed the participants and spoke about the importance and goals of the project. There was also an extensive presentation on the terms, stages and results of the competition. The meeting continued in question-answer mode.
Application for the 2021 National Award for Vocational Education (www.millennium.org.ge) is available until May 28, 2021. The winners will be announced at the annual Vocational Education Gala Awards.
