The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili awarded the French Kartvelologist - Bernard Utier, the Head of the Scientific Department of the Georgian National Archives - Ketevan Asatiani, the Director of the Museum of Georgian Emigration - Rusudan Kobakhidze and the Director of the Polish Institute in Tbilisi - Lech Konchak. The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli attended the solemn event held at the Orbeliani Palace.
Bernard Utier, a foreign member of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, was awarded the Golden Fleece Order for his outstanding contribution to the study of ancient Georgian language and literature, as well as for his special contribution to the preservation of Georgian cultural heritage and the promotion of Georgian culture abroad.
Ketevan Asatiani was awarded with Order of Excellence for her scientific contribution to the scientific research of the Georgian National Archives and ensuring their accessibility to the public, the promotion of Georgian culture abroad and the protection of Georgia's cultural heritage.
Rusudan Kobakhidze was awarded the Medal of Honor for her special contribution to the collection, preservation and research of the archival material of the historical and intellectual heritage of Georgian emigration, for the establishment of the Museum of Georgian Emigration.
Lech Konchak – was awarded with the Golden Fleece Order for his special contribution to the strengthening of friendly relations and cultural rapprochement between Georgia and the Republic of Poland, for the promotion and support of Georgian culture abroad.
