With the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Israeli International Cooperation Program "Mashavi", an innovative project was implemented at the Vocational College "Information Technology Academy". The project aimed to promote the development of entrepreneurial and technological education and strengthen creative thinking in vocational students.
The final event of the project, where the students made presentations, was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Tamar Kitiashvili and the Ambassador of Israel to Georgia - Ran Gidor. Tamar Kitiashvili spoke about the importance of the support of the Israeli government in terms of entrepreneurship education and focused on the great entrepreneurial potential of vocational students, which, she said, was confirmed by the quality of the projects submitted by students.
The project involved the creation of simulation games and the organization of a hackathon by vocational students in the context of entrepreneurship education. One-month training in entrepreneurial and digital competencies was conducted within the project. Project participants were trained to create a simple MVP (Minimum Value Product) website, among which the jury found the best work. Nine teams consisting of students from different vocational educational institutions participated in the project. The winning students were given laptops as a gift.
