The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, is continuing his series of engagements with educators across the nation. Recently, he convened a meeting with approximately 400 teachers from the Samtskhe-Javakheti region. In this gathering, facilitated by majority MP Anton Obolashvili and local government officials, the minister shared a variety of updates personally with the teachers. 

During the session, Minister Amilakhvari outlined both executed and forthcoming measures designed to bolster teacher support. He briefed the educators on the new salary framework, elaborated on initiatives aimed at enhancing teacher professional development, and discussed the strengthening of school autonomy. 

The dialogue also covered pressing issues, including the support for teachers from ethnic minority backgrounds, school funding, and the allocation of teaching hours. 

The meeting afforded the teachers a valuable platform to voice their questions on topics that matter to them and to gain comprehensive insights directly from the minister.
