
Week dedicated to the 170th
anniversary of Akaki Tsereteli will be held on October 25-29 in Public Schools
by the initiative of MES. The schools will plan and carry out different
activities in the scope of the week. Competition of the writings will be held
as well where VIII-XII graders will take part. The competition will be take place in three levels: school, regions and
final rounds.
The first level will be held from
October 1-8 in Public Schools and regional and final rounds - October 22-27.
Winners of the regional level
will be awarded with certificates. Three participants, who will take the first
three places, will be awarded with prizes as well as certificates. Winner who
will take the first place will receive 700GEL, holder of the second place will
be presented with 500 GEL and the schoolchild who will take the third place
will receive 300 GEL.
First Deputy Minister of
Education and Science of Georgia, Koka Sepherteladze made an announcement about
the competition: “Georgian nation is celebrating the 170th anniversary of Akaki
Tsereteli. It is important to understand the role of the person who fought for
the freedom of Georgian consciousness. The main content of his works is striving
for freedom and therefore competition is dedicated to this topic” – noted Koka
Seperteladze.
Award ceremony of the winners will
be held in Skhvitori, in the house museum of Akaki Tsereteli.
