For the first time this year, the twelfth graders take exams in the format of the CAT system with the computers. The exams are held in 8 subjects: Georgian Language and Literature, Foreign Languages (upon choice); Math, History, Geography, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

President Met the Certified Teachers
Process of Teacher certification is underway and is voluntary till 2014. In every July teachers are given opportunity to take a test in corresponding subject and a test in professional skills. Teachers, who successfully pass the tests, will get a surplus to the salary with the amount of 75 GEL.

Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Nodar Surguladze and UEFA Vice President   Senesh Erzik opened a school tournament in Football “School Ball” held at “Irao” Stadium.  On the first day of the tournament 8 schools of Vake- Saburtalo district competed against one another.

First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Koka Sepherteladze observed the proceeding of public schools’ principals Contest.  Ministry’s National Center for Teacher Professional Development will administer this contest till April 4.
