Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation under the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia has started the contest for the membership of the National Olympic Team. The National Olympic Team of Georgia will take part in International Olympics in 4 disciplines (Physics, Mathematics, Informatics and Biology). The participants of the contest took written test in Physics, Mathematics and Biology at Tbilisi Public School № 51. The Deputy Minister of Education and Science Irine Kurdadze observed the proceeding of the test.
About 50 schoolchildren of 8th and 12th grades who are the winners of the National Olympics take part in the contest. The Golden Prize winner of last year’s International Olympics in Informatics Tsotne Tabidze is the participant of the contest. The members of the National Olympic Team will be selected though the test and they will pass the special trainings in Tbilisi and Bakuriani.
19 schoolchildren from Georgia will go to Thailand, Taiwan and Netherlands for participation in the International Olympics.
