The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini is paying an official visit to Switzerland. As a part of this visit, he held a meeting with the Head of the State Secretariat for Education and Research (SER), Mauro Dell’Ambrogio.

During the meeting, Mr. Dimitri Shashkini highlighted the current plans and developments in the education system, at the same time, the Georgian delegation members had opportunity to get familiar with the ongoing projects and programs implemented in the Swiss education system.

The sides agreed on enhancing the mutual collaboration, in particular, activating the exchange programs for the teachers.

Possibility of developing the joint programs in the fields of vocational and higher education as well as science was also discussed during the meeting. Next year, the Head of the State Secretariat for Education and Research (SER), Mauro Dell’Ambrogio will pay an official visit to Georgia in order to get acquainted with the Georgian educational system and identify the concrete fields of collaboration.
