The Minister, Dimitri Shashkini, visited the Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau and observed its science labs equipped with up to date facilities, then, accompanied by the chair of the Bureau, met with the Bureau's students.
The National Forensics Bureau has been closely cooperating with different higher educational institutions including Tbilisi State University, Georgian Technical University., etc.
The institution offers students courses in practical skills; the duration of each course is one academic semester.
Students have the opportunity to get acquainted with modern methods of investigation in these courses. The programs are offered in three special topics: criminalistics, medical, and chemical expertise.
The Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau is a member of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI).
