willing to be certified can take the exam several times a year and at the end
of October teachers’ re-registration will be announced. The teachers will take
the exams in winter vocational schools.
This year certificates were given to approximately 800
teachers, which is 2.5 times more than last year. Certificate exams for
teachers have been held for three years thus far and the number of certified
teachers continues to steadily grow. Teachers were more motivated this year and
one of the contributing factors was the increase in salaries given. The parameters
for an increase in salary is as follows: certified
teachers get an additional 75 GEL, if they pass the exam in English and
computers that’s an additional 200 GEL, and those who are ranked in the top 25%
after this exam will receive a salary of 1000 GEL. There is also an additional
