The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Mr. Mikheil Chkhenkeli met the initiative group, including the special teachers, the head of the Special Teachers Association and the parent. The meeting focused on challenges facing the inclusive education and in particular the issue of development of the profession of a special teacher.

The Minister presented his own vision of development of inclusive education to the members of the group, providing the educational environment tailored to the needs of each student and based on the principles of inclusiveness. Future plans include promotion to development of a special teacher’s profession, providing second opportunity to get education and developing other additional services tailored to the educational needs.
