On September 13, the First Deputy Minister of Education,
Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia - Mikheil Giorgadze hosted a group of
German journalists who are getting acquainted with the Georgian culture. The
meeting was attended by a famous Georgian pianist - Dudana Mazmanishvili as
well, who currently works in Germany.
Mikheil Giorgadze talked about the importance of participation at Frankfurt
Book Fair as a guest of honor, and talked about the literary and cultural
programs planned by the Georgian delegation.
In addition, the sides discussed the long-term friendly relationship
between Georgia and Germany. Mikheil Giorgadze introduced various aspects of
Georgian culture, including theater, cinema and literature to the German
journalists.
Equipped with a mission to get
to know Georgia, a group of German journalists arrived in Georgia on September
12, 2018. Vakhtang Kakhidze Music Center is hosting the journalists with the
support of Georgian National Tourism Administration.
Within the scope of a four-day visit, guests will attend the concert of Khatia
Buniatishvili and Tbilisi Symphonic Orchestra, will visit the National Museum
of Georgia, the Royal District and will attend the Tatas Tavadze's performance
-"Tiger and a Lion".
The German guests have already held a meeting with the playwright David
Gabunia, attended the concert dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Georgian
folk dance, in conjunction with paying a visit to Zakaria Paliashvili Central
Music School.
In 2018, Georgia is presented as an honorary guest at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
In parallel with the literary program, Georgia will present a diverse cultural
program in different cities of Germany. Moreover, Tbilisi Symphonic Orchestra
will hold two concerts in Berlin and Potsdam on September 26 and 27.
The events are supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and
Sport of Georgia.
