Resource Officers begin to hold charity events. 40 Resource Officers visited Gldani orphanage and presented the children with the books, sweets and toys.

Resource officers spent a whole day together with 163 children who live in Gldani orphanage. They spoke about the crime prevention, healthy way of life and generally about the importance of education with the children.

According to the Resource Officers, participation in similar events is very important as they are willing to make contribution to the children’s correct upbringing.

Office of the Resource Officers will still hold charity activities. They care for the safety of the schoolchildren, teachers and all staff being employed at schools. Aim of the charity events of the Resource Officers is to take part in different useful campaigns and personally explain the sense of the Office of Resource Officers to all representatives of society.

In order to keep schools safe, Resource Officers commenced their activities in the Public Schools of Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi and Zugdidi from the new academic year. They will start operating in Gori and Rustavi Public Schools by the end of the year

Resource Officers’ duty is to prevent conflicts and provide the schoolchildren with any kind of aid. They are not allowed to punish the schoolchildren. They are responsible to care for the safety of the schoolchildren.

New initiative that is being implemented in the frame of the Safe School program, envisages giving parents guarantee of their children’s safety.
