Irina Abuladze – the Deputy Minister of Education,
Science, Culture and Sport visited scientific and English summer schools, met
with the students and got acquainted with the achievements of the young
The project is being implemented on the premises of the Tbilisi Buckswood International School - where more than 700 students from different regions of Georgia have the ability to participate in various interesting activities and Olympiads.
Summer School activities are divided into two major parts: the first half of the day is reserved to the academics, whereas during the second half, the students have the opportunity to partake in various sport and creative activities.
The Science program at the summer school is mainly related to the field of mathematics and Information Technology. Students get acquainted with vital information from the existing scientific field, and have a wide variety of lectures and seminars with the invited lecturers and active field specialists.
However, the English-language part of the Summer School, includes
studying/enhancing the level of English, in conjunction with getting acquainted
with the British culture and traditions. The teaching process is loaded with a
variety of fun activities that enable the learner to maximize their abilities.
Best summer school students of science will be selected to travel to Switzerland (at the European Center for Nuclear Research – CERN) and to Copernicus Science Center in Poland, whereas the best students of the English Language Camp will have the opportunity to visit the Buckswood school in the UK.
